János Héder and Judit Zoltai are well-known when it comes to
designer lamps and installations - for good reason. They have
cherished the notion of creating a line of designer lighting
elements that hold a different set of aesthetic values than
their “firstborn”, Manooi, the world-famous manufacturer of
premium-class crystal chandeliers.
Now, they decided to realize a completely new aspect of their
dreams - creating a line of lighting elements that exist in pure,
minimal state, to bring light to more spaces than ever before.
They wanted to create answers to all the questions that came
up during their projects as architects — seeking functional
yet aesthetic solutions to lighting challenges.
Every aspect of these elements brings another facet of
the creators’ imagination to the surface, who have embarked
on this journey of exploring different manufacturing tech-
nologies, touching new tools, new materials on their way
toward their vision.
During the design phase, they always kept one thought in mind
- always strive to give optimal solutions for the spaces while
delivering artistic beauty. So, they have created elements
that withstand the test of time, shapes that have fundamental
meanings in our minds and bear superior functionality.
Working with the vast technologies of today, they are pushing
the boundaries of what is considered to be reasonable,
without going beyond the line of functionality. Innovation,
elegance and solutions are the keywords embracing every
one of their new conceptions.
In 2015, Janos and Judit were awarded by the prestigious
Special-Award of the Hungarian Intellectual Property
Agency at the Hungarian Design Awards for the Rutil lamp
composition. In 2016 with their Ray wall lamp they won the
’design Oscar’, the Red Dot Award.
So, one could ask - what is the sum of all knowledge
accumulated?
The challenging art of minimalism, where every millimetre
is accounted for. The craftsmanship that cumulates into
uncluttered designs, unprecedented aesthetic value, and
