A tub, a shell, a hull, an empty and open shape entirely
upholstered in leather. An upside-down, extended saddle
resting on fine metal stirrups and filled with cushions that
follow the outline and at the same time soften it. It brings
to mind neoclassical shapes, clear and absolute, and the
voluptuousness of the sensual forms of feminine figures
on them, ever present down in paintings or academy
representations, to complet the geometries and classicist
references. A sofa where the tradition of saddlery and
upholstery they combine to a new look to spaces and of
the neoclassical atmosphere and their most common and
participatory icons.
Una vasca, un guscio, uno scafo, una forma vuota ed
aperta, interamente rivestita in cuoio. Una sella rovesciata
e dilatata, appoggiata su sottili staffe di metallo e riempita
di cuscini che ne ricalcano la forma e allo stesso tempo
l’ammorbidiscono. Il rimando è a sagome neoclassiche,
asciutte e assolute, e alla voluttà delle forme sensuali di
figure femminili su di esse, sempre riverse nelle pitture
o nelle rappresentazioni d’accademia, a completare
le geometrie e le citazioni classiciste. Divano ove la
tradizione della selleria e della tappezzeria si fondono
insieme a una rilettura degli spazi e dell’atmosfera
neoclassica e delle loro icone più comuni e partecipate.
