It began with the design of our Zephyr Pendant, in search of the ability to have light be an
integral part of the design itself…to capture the “fluidity” of light.
Working with local, Vermont partners in LED technologies and laser engraving, we developed
LED Light-guide systems with proprietary, etched patterns in acrylic that draw the light from
end to end. Light travels in a straight line until something refracts, reflects or bends the light
through the acrylic, guiding it from LEDs at the end of the form until it escapes any of the
thousands of laser-etched points in a proprietary precision matrix on its surface. With our
LED light-guides, there is an even distribution of light, vs the “hot spots” often associated with
classic LED diodes.
Today, in addition to several free-flowing designs like the Zephyr and Mobius, we offer Linear,
Circular and Sconce Light-Guide Platforms for a variety of products. Light-guide platforms may
also be customized in length, width and shape to suit custom projects.
