Industry is a library inspired by architecture and by the deconstruction of an expan-ding urban landscape. Contemporary buildings, industrial landscapes, construction sites and urban architectu-re are the inspiration behind this design by young British designer Benjamin hubert. The bookshelf is a microcosmic reflection of the space which surrounds us as seen through the use of various natural materials. Materials typically found in our cities (concrete, metal, timber) remain separate but in the Industry Bookshelf are unified by a white painted metal frame that brings to mind scaffolding - the founding principle and the expressive power of Industry.
