Designed by Charles and Ray Eames
More than a decade after the launch of the Eames Aluminum
Group, the addition of individually upholstered, two-inch-thick
cushions added plush luxury to the line, complementing the
original 1958 design. Like their predecessors, Eames Soft Pad
chairs are constructed using a suspension technique that
creates a flexible “sitting pocket,” which cradles your body
as you sit.
The one-piece curved aluminum side ribs and die-cast
aluminum base make for a strong yet lightweight chair.
