The structure is the only element
in reinforced concrete, while all other
internal components are defined by
lightness: walls in Eraclit, panels
covered in double wallpaper, the first
being a thick adhesive layer which
acted as glue, and the second
being ‘upholstery’ in golden linen
fabric. The hardwood floors are
a triumph of three types of wood.
This system of references, symmetries,
and secret accords between symbols,
alignments and numbers pervades
and defines the entire project. It is
one of the reasons the home is so
alluring and mysterious.
Solo la struttura sarà in cemento armato, mentre ogni altra
componente interna sarà all’insegna della leggerezza con le
pareti in Eraclit, pannelli rivestiti da una doppia carta da parati,
una prima adesiva e spessa che agiva come collante, una
seconda in stoffa – lino dorato fissato con tesate. Il parquet
sarà un virtuosismo di tre legni. Questa ricerca dei rimandi,
delle simmetrie, delle segrete corrispondenze tra i simboli, gli
allineamenti e i numeri pervade e connota l’intero progetto,
ed è uno dei motivi di fascino, e mistero, della villa.
