ATARI
COLLECTION
Stéphane Parmentier designed this collection
along the principle of a grid, like the frst video
games that appeared in the late Seventies.
The primary forms are combined with
the preciousness of vegetable-dyed leather,
making them statement pieces where the idea
of a simple shape is translated into a 3D structure
that refers to minimalist art and conceptualism.
Rectangular cuts reveal the leather’s thickness,
underscoring the resolutely graphic aspect of
each piece and evoking the perforated cards used
for the frst musical recordings and the earliest
computers.
Atari pattern. Full scale.
