polyurethane-based paints towards
the use of water-based paints, both
to cut down atmospheric emissions,
as well as for greater protection of
the staff in charge of this particular
process. In 2021 GTV has inaugurated
a new Green project, introducing
products that are entirely sustaina-
ble, including the new Beaulieu chair,
designed by Philippe Nigro.
For these FSC certified products
coated with water-based paint, the
company is offering a polyurethane
padding produced with the innovative
Variable Pressure Foaming (VPF) tech-
nology which makes it possible not to
use foaming agents that are harmful
for the environment, obtaining a mate-
rial that is foamed solely with water,
totally eco-compatible and recyclable.
For the upholstery cover, the com-
pany uses a selection of fabrics made
from plastic or natural recycled fibres.
Moreover, GTV uses recycled and
sustainable materials for the chair’s
support feet too, and these can eas-
ily be replaced simply with a click-in
system. From the finished product to
its packaging for dispatch, in FSC cer-
tified cardboard, all the internal com-
ponents are also made of recyclable
material and separate, in order to be
disposed of in full.
