Monica Siau is a Belgian sculptor based near the scenic city
of Bruges, Belgium. She started her artistic apprenticeship
in the late seventies at the Academy of Fine arts in Bruges.
Thereafter, she decided to further develop her sculpting
techniques, studying under several Belgian ceramists. To
Monica, to create art means to find peace and tranquillity.
Sourcing inspiration from nature, animals and human nature
and experimenting with techniques, shapes and glazes, her
artworks appear spontaneous and organic yet elegantly
stylized.
