INSPIRED BY UNUSUAL SPACES
What makes a space or a place become habitable? Is it a
condition that can only be acquired through architecture?
Not really, since habitability ends up being defined by
furniture. Additionally, building is not always necessary:
furniture, on its own, can also significantly transform an
environment. An outdoor space, without going any further.
Let’s explore living, without thinking about residing.
We are surrounded by unusual places, potentially habitable,
in a more contemporary way. You only have to identify them
and intervene. Some are constructs whose function has
been deprecated. Others are non-normative architectures,
even experimental, complex to inhabit. Or, rather, to furnish.
We have delved into some of these unusual spaces,
approaching them from another perspective, looking for
their habitability to evolve through our designs. An exercise
that has forced us to leave our usual territories to create
spaces that are doubly uncommon, due to their nature and
our proposal.
