The sheets, made from copper
spheres, are incredibly thin, almost
intangible, to the point that they
are separated with a breath before
being placed on the transparent
glass. The oxidation process, skill-
fully controlled by the craftsman,
gives the glass the appearance of
metal, creating shades that range
from reddish to brown, hence
the name Rosso Marte.
I fogli, ricavati da sfere in rame,
sono sottilissimi, quasi impalpabili
tanto da essere separati con un
soffio prima di essere adagiati sul
vetro trasparente. La fase di ossi-
dazione, governata sapientemente
dall’artigiano, dona al vetro l’aspet-
to del metallo, creando sfumature
che vanno dal colore rossastro
al marrone, da cui il nome Rosso
Marte.
