Samarkand is a city in present day Uzbekistan, and lies on the famous
Silk Road trade route linking Venice and China.
This lamp’s unique shape and quintessential Fortuny pattern evoke
the mystique of those ancient trade journeys, and the cultural fusion
they sparked.
The light filters through the glass and penetrates the inlay
of the decorative ring.
