Pinecone è una lampada da sospensione e da appoggio con un
diffusore realizzato tramite l’antica tecnica del vetro soffiato
ingabbiato. Il maestro vetraio soffia la bolla vitrea in una gabbia
metallica, che ne contiene parzialmente l’espansione, creando
un effetto di tensione tra il vetro e la gabbia. Quest’ultima
viene ulteriormente valorizzata da un trattamento galvanico
che la rende lucida e brillante.
Pinecone is a pendant and floor lamp with a diffuser made
using the ancient technique of caged blown glass. The master
glassmaker blows the glass bubble into a metal cage, which
partially contains its expansion, creating a tension effect
between the glass and the cage. The latter is further enhanced
by a galvanic treatment that makes it shiny and brilliant.
