Bouroullec, sia come membro
dello Studio Bouroullec che, più
recentemente, come designer
indipendente, ha sempre
affiancato all’approccio estetico
distintivo il fascino della
meccanica industriale della
creatività. Emi è il suo primo
progetto illuminotecnico realizzato
in autonomia per Flos e si ispira al
concetto paradossale di
“luce dall’ombra”.
The trajectory of Erwan
Bouroullec’s work, both as part
of Bouroullec Studio and more
recently as a solitary creative, has
always combined a distinctive
aesthetic approach with a
fascination for the industrial
mechanics of creativity. His first
solo lighting design for Flos, Emi,
follows the paradoxical concept of
‘light from shadow’.
Emi è una collezione
che fonde tecnologia e design:
elementi luminosi racchiusi in un
palo triangolare, la cui luce
potente ma delicata è emessa
da un corpo che rimane quasi
invisibile.
A collection that blends
technology and design, Emi
features a trio of light modules
encased within a triangular pole,
its powerful but gentle lighting
emitted from a body that remains
nearly invisible.
