Nata da un ambizioso progetto di Flos Bespoke,
il design di Luce Orizzontale è la sintesi della
complessità artigianale del concetto: una
struttura modulare a incastro composta da
elementi tubolari di vetro spesso, sospesi in
modo minimale dal soffitto.
Originating from an ambitious Flos Bespoke
project, the design of Luce Orizzontale
distils the concept’s artisanal complexity: an
interlocking, modular structure composed
of tubular elements of thick glass, minimally
suspended from the ceiling.
La configurazione modulare della lampada
prevede 8, 10 o 12 tubi di vetro fuso (le
dimensioni variano da un metro e mezzo a
due metri e mezzo) e strutture di sospensione
di diverse lunghezze. I cilindri di vetro sono
sostenuti da una barra di alluminio lucidato,
mentre le sorgenti luminose, due strisce di LED
che dirigono la luce verso l’alto e verso il basso,
sono inserite nella barra e possono essere
dimmerate attraverso un sistema situato a
un’estremità della barra stessa.
The lamp’s modular configuration includes
8, 10 or 12 cast glass tubes (its size ranging
from one and a half metres to two and a half
metres), and hanging structures of different
lengths. The glass cylinders are supported by a
polished aluminium bar, while the light sources,
two LED strips pushing the light upwards and
downwards, are inserted in the bar, and can be
dimmed through a system located at one end
of the bar.
