A state-of-the-art dimmable LED collection of lighting fi xtures and
sconces conceived by Allison Paladino incorporates our exclusive
studio process of dichroic rough-cut sculpted glass, conceived by Fine
Art master glass artist Frank Englesby. Each rough-cut glass gem is lit
by (small and high effi cacy) hidden LEDs, highlighting a dual-colored
refl ective brilliance. Dichroic glass was developed by NASA for use
in space shuttles. Making dichroic glass requires complex processing
technique in high-temperature vacuum chambers using vaporizing
metallic oxides such as magnesium and titanium. The process requires
15 to 45 individual layers totaling a width less than a single human hair.

In all studio glass, slight variations in shape, size, markings and bubbles are inherent in the process, and are the characteristics that distinguish handmade studio art glass from mass produced glass work.
