In all studio glass, slight variations in shape, size, markings and bubbles are inherent in the process, and are the characteristics that distinguish handmade studio art glass from mass produced glass work.
ARCTIC HALO
Fine Art Master Glass Artist Frank Englesby has been inspired by memories of childhood dreams:
the heavenly light show that dances around the midnight moon hovering over the Arctic circle.
We have conceived lighting fi xtures that capture this eff ect perfectly, in the form of shallow bowls,
drums, rings, waisted bodices, and cylinder sconces. Using thousands of handmade “rough-cut”
crystal gems made in our glass studio, Arctic Halo celebrates the refracted light of ice crystals
carried by cirrus clouds and forming a lunar halo in the night sky. Drums and rings with tightly
woven white fabric diff users. Available standard soft gold leaf, standard silver leaf or matte black.
