Amo molto il mare ed il vetro me lo fa spesso
venire in mente. Sarà che esso viene ricavato
da sabbia, come per primi fecero gli antichi
Fenici, oltretutto grandi navigatori,
oppure perché il mare ci restituisce spesso
quegli affascinanti pezzettini di vetro molato
giorno dopo giorno, instancabilmente
dal movimento ondoso, frammenti che prendono
le sembianze di piccole pietre preziose.
Sulla Ghost ho voluto pertanto disegnare
le onde del mare ed il suo colore che cambia
a seconda della profondità, lasciando
una parte indefinita come acqua
che raggiunge la spiaggia a compimento
di un eterno ininterrotto viaggio.
I love the sea very much and the glass
often makes me think of it. Maybe because
it is made from sand, like the ancient
Phoenicians did first, who were also
great sailors, or maybe because the sea
often gives us these fascinating pieces
of glass relentlessly grinded
day by day by the waves, fragments
that take the form of small precious stones.
On Ghost I thus wanted to draw the waves
of the sea and its colour that changes
depending on the depth, leaving a part
indefinite, like water that reaches the beach
in fulfilment of an eternal, uninterrupted journey.
