Con York abbiamo voluto esplorare i limiti del vetro curvato. Abbiamo lavorato
su forme curve autoportanti, dove la sagoma del tavolino conferisce rigidità
alla struttura stessa: questo ci ha portato alla forma definitiva del tavolino
York. Sulla base abbiamo combinato il vetro con un elemento in marmo che
aggiunge un tocco di eleganza e garantisce stabilità all’intera struttura.
In York, we aimed to explore the limits of curved glass. We worked on self-
supporting folding forms, where the inherent shape provided rigidity to
the structure. This led us to the ultimate form of York: a sleek glass side
table. Additionally, at the base, we combined it with a marble piece that
stabilizes the entire ensemble.
Avec York, nous voulions explorer les limites du verre courbé. Nous avons
travaillé sur des formes curvilignes autoportantes, où la forme de la table
donne de la rigidité à la structure elle-même : cela nous a conduit à la
forme finale de la table basse York. Sur la base, nous avons combiné le verre
avec un élément en marbre qui ajoute une touche d’élégance et assure la
stabilité de l’ensemble de la structure.
In York wollten wir die Grenzen von gebogenem Glas ausloten. Wir arbeiteten
an selbsttragenden, faltbaren Formen, bei denen die inhärente Form der
Struktur Steifigkeit verleiht. Dies führte uns zu der ultimativen Form von
York: einem schlanken Beistelltisch aus Glas. Zusätzlich kombinierten wir ihn
am Fuß mit einem Marmorstück, das das gesamte Ensemble stabilisiert.
