Imprinting
Ghost è un’icona, così rivoluzionaria
e assoluta da essere senza tempo.
Trent’anni, ma ancora sintetizza
ricerca del limite e proiezione
al futuro. E’ anche e soprattutto
un segno forte, non proprio un foglio
bianco su cui potessi dipingere
con facilità qualcosa che valesse
il materiale su cui era impresso.
Mi sono limitato a mettere un legame
inscindibile tra questi due splendidi
modellini e me: le mie impronte.
Ghost is an icon, so revolutionary
and absolute as to be timeless.
Thirty years, but it still synthesizes
the chase for the limits
and the projection to the future.
It is also and above all a strong sign,
not really a blank sheet on which
I could easily paint something worth
the material on which it was imprinted.
All I did was put an unbreakable bond
between these two splendid miniature
models and myself: my imprints.
