inserisce nella grande tradizione
delle arti decorative francesi. Dopo
gli studi in architettura, si specializza
nell’interior design, realizzando
progetti in tutto il mondo - da Londra
a Marrakech, da Kuwait City a Gstaad
- e affermandosi per lo stile sofisticato
e senza tempo. I suoi arredi, pezzi
unici realizzati in collaborazione con
artigiani esperti, vengono esposti
nella galleria parigina che porta il
suo nome. Per il Mobilier National
- agenzia francese responsabile
del mobilio statale - ha progettato
diversi saloni del Palazzo dell’Eliseo,
compreso l’ufficio del Presidente.
Thierry Lemaire’s work is part of the
strong tradition of French decorative
arts. After studying architecture, he
specialised in interior design, designing
projects all over the world - from London
to Marrakech, from Kuwait City to
Gstaad - making a name for himself with
his sophisticated and timeless style.
His furniture, unique pieces made in
collaboration with experienced artisans,
are exhibited in the Paris gallery that
bears his name. For Mobilier National -
the French government furniture agency
- he designed several rooms in the Elysée
Palace, including the President’s office.

uno dei maestri del design dei nostri
giorni. Architetto, designer e art
director dalla personalità eclettica,
da oltre trent’anni sviluppa - nel suo
studio con sede a Milano e New York -
progetti internazionali di architettura,
interior, product design e graphic
design. Una vita votata alla creatività,
che l’ha portato a disegnare ogni tipo
di oggetto, dagli edifici agli yacht, dai
divani alle caffettiere, con il suo stile
distintivo, sobrio e al tempo stesso
lievemente anarchico. Il suo approccio
- riconosciuto e apprezzato in tutto
il mondo - mescola rigore e libertà
espressiva, cultura e ironia, studio
e intuizione.
Piero Lissoni is considered one of
the masters of modern-day design.
An architect, designer and art director
with an eclectic personality, he has been
involved in international architectural,
interior, product and graphic design
projects in his Milan and New York offices
for over thirty years. A life devoted to
creativity, which has led him to design
all kinds of objects, from buildings to
yachts, from sofas to coffee makers, in
his distinctive, simple and yet slightly
anarchic style. His approach - well known
and appreciated all over the world - mixes
precision and freedom of expression,
culture and irony, study and intuition.

“Nel mondo dell’outdoor, dal Liberty a oggi, il bamboo
è sempre stato un tema dominante. Ho semplicemente
recuperato un materiale perfetto per fare queste cose e l’ho
riutilizzato, nella maniera più responsabile possibile,
avvicinandolo a un modello più contemporaneo di design.
Nei giunti poi c’è una tecnologia nascosta. La collezione Sagano
può quindi essere definita come un ponte tra il passato
e il presente”.
“Bamboo has always been a dominant theme in the
outdoor world, from Art Nouveau to the present day.
I basically salvaged a material that was perfect for making
these things and reused it, in the most responsible way
possible, approaching it with a more contemporary standard
of design. Hidden technology can also be found in the joints.
The Sagano Collection can therefore be characterised as
a bridge between the past and the present.”
