There are strong similarities between the worlds
of design and fashion. Objects are created to last, to be
treasured and handed down from generation to generation.
An accessory as a design piece is conceived to have a life
and purpose of its own.
In envisioning the new world of FENDI Casa,
we started from FENDI’s own DNA, made up of savoir-faire,
tradition, innovation and attention to detail. Together
with our partner Design Holding, a leader in the field of
design and lighting, we reinforced our core values: the
importance of Made in Italy, which combines craftsmanship
and cutting-edge technologies, an attentive selection
of exclusive materials and the embodiment of a playful
and powerful aesthetic. Meanwhile, FENDI is constantly
evolving, choosing to partner each year with talented
creatives and prominent personalities whom I have
personally chosen. Some of these designers have been with
us on our quest for new ideas and experimentation, since
the start of our partnership in 2008 with Design Miami/,
the international fair that brings together the most
influential names in the world of design; others are now
joining the FENDI Casa ‘family’ for the first time, enriching
it with new visions and insights. As a result, the collection
is eclectic yet highly recognisable, incorporating sculptural
shapes and sinuous lines, bright colours and neutral tones,
textures and precious details.
Design, fashion and art are intertwined in
the FENDI Casa universe, contaminating one another.
And it all adds up to the enjoyment of living.
After all, this is what design is for: to create a haven
of pure joy in every home.
