Con el fin de no alterar el bello paraje del valle alicantino de
Guadalest, los módulos (suites, restaurante y recepción) se
construyeron en una fábrica y luego se transportaron hasta
la montaña para su montaje. Explica el artífice de VIVOOD, el
joven arquitecto segoviano Daniel Mayo, que lo fundamental
del concepto es que “la construcción en la parcela se ha llevado
a cabo mediante un sistema no agresivo con el terreno. No hay
cimentación, sino que todos los módulos se han anclado a la tierra
mediante pilotis sobre los que se asienta la estructura”.
Asimismo, la limpieza del enclave se realizó a través de
una poda selectiva a mano y toda la madera de las estructuras
procede de plantaciones controladas. Todo se hizo desde el
respeto más absoluto hacia el medio ambiente: “Contamos con
una superficie de 100 m2 de placas solares sobre la cubierta del
restaurante y la piscina del hotel es de agua salina, por lo que
su mantenimiento es 100% ecológico y no empleamos ningún
producto químico”, afirma Mayo.
In order to avoid disrupting the beautiful setting of the Guadalest
valley in Alicante, the modular units (suites, restaurant and
reception) were not built there but in a factory. They were later
carried to the site where they were assembled. The person behind
VIVOOD, Daniel Mayo, a young architect from Segovia, explains
that the most important thing is “once in the plot, we used a non-
aggressive system to prevent damaging the land. There are no
foundations; stilts anchor the cabins to the ground and support
their structure”.
Additionally, the hillside was cleaned by means of a selective
hand pruning and all the wood used in the structures comes
from certified forests. Everything was made with all due respect
to environment: “The 100 m2 area of the restaurant roof is covered
with solar wafers and the swimming pool is filled with salty water,
so its maintenance is 100% ecological, and besides we don’t use
chemicals”, Mayo states.
