“I have had the chance to meet craftsmen
and small industrialists of all types: excellent
carpenters, craftsmen of Malay cane,
etc. But all of them have progressively
disappeared. Many of them no longer
exist as they have been taken over by
big factories. And it is a shame because
industrial design is handmade before
becoming industrial. In fact, giving birth to a
product requires this handicraft stage, and
when this is lost, so much is lost.”

diseño industrial, antes de ser industrial,
es artesano. Para que un producto nazca,
necesita esta etapa artesanal, y si esto se
pierde, se pierde mucho.”
