Since our last Sustainability Report, things
have gone will for Expormim. In 2021, we
got the Spanish National Design Award,
the highest recognition a design company
can qualify for in our country. In 2022, we
were bestowed a German Design Award
as “Sustainable Brand of the Year”. This
award in particular meant a much positive
reinforcement to the pillars of design and
sustainability, both so deeply linked to our
philosophy and our brand.
But there are several more accomplishments.
For instance, our company has been certified
to ISO 14001, FSC and PEFC and 33% of our
energy consumption already comes from the
photovoltaic plant installed in 2022. We are
now set for new goals, such as the Carbon
Footprint Study that will allow us to measure
and cut our emissions until we reach the net
zero in 2030 or the consolidation of our own
circular economy through the enhancement
of recycling. Indeed green is the new black.
Desde nuestra última Memoria de Sostenibilidad,
las cosas han ido bien. En 2021 fuimos
galardonados con el Premio Nacional de Diseño,
el máximo reconocimiento al que puede optar
una empresa de diseño en nuestro país. En
2022 se nos otorgó el German Design Award
como “Marca Sostenible del Año”. Este premio
en concreto supuso un refuerzo muy positivo a
los pilares del diseño y la sostenibilidad, ambos
tan profundamente ligados a nuestra filosofía y
a nuestra marca.
Pero aún hay algunos logros más. Por ejemplo,
nuestra empresa ha obtenido los certificados
ISO 14001, FSC y PEFC y el 33% de nuestro
consumo energético procede ya de la planta
fotovoltaica instalada en 2022. Ahora nos
hemos fijado nuevos objetivos, como el
Estudio de la Huella de Carbono, que nos
permitirá calcular y reducir nuestras emisiones
hasta alcanzar el cero neto en 2030, o la
consolidación de nuestra propia economía
circular mediante la mejora del reciclaje. En
efecto, el verde es el nuevo negro.
