LA POLITICA AMBIENTALE DI ESTEL
I valori, la strategia e gli obiettivi di un’azienda sono espressi nella sua politica, ed
uno dei cardini della politica di Estel è rappresentato dalla tutela dell’ambiente,
che si concretizza attraverso il rispetto della legislazione vigente, la prevenzione
dell’inquinamento, la progressiva riduzione delle emissioni e del consumo di risorse,
l’utilizzo di materiali riciclati e riciclabili.
Per garantire questi risultati, Estel mantiene attivo un Sistema di Gestione Ambientale
conforme ai requisiti della norma UNI EN ISO 14001, tramite il quale stabilisce gli
obiettivi di miglioramento.
Dal momento che la politica rappresenta il punto di riferimento operativo quotidiano
per l’intero management aziendale, viene assicurato il massimo impegno da parte
dell’azienda per raggiungere gli obiettivi ambientali in essa espressi.
DESIGN ECOSOSTENIBILE
I prodotti Estel soddisfano le esigenze dell’utente promuovendo nel contempo uno
sviluppo sostenibile attraverso un ridotto consumo di risorse ed un basso livello
di inquinamento. Estel ottiene questo risultato ispirandosi in tutte le fasi, dalla
progettazione alla realizzazione fino alla eliminazione a fine vita dei propri prodotti, a
criteri di eco sostenibilità quali:
- selezione attenta dei materiali: i materiali lignei utilizzati provengono da riciclo assieme
ai metalli e vetri e sono tutti riciclabili, hanno garanzia illimitata e un valore destinato
a crescere nel tempo; il materiale ligneo inoltre è certificato FSC®, e ciò garantisce il
cliente finale che il legno utilizzato nella fabbricazione del prodotto proviene da foreste
gestite secondo standard internazionali di salvaguardia sia degli aspetti ambientali sia
di quelli socio-economici legati alla foresta, a tutela del patrimonio forestale mondiale;
- selezione dei fornitori, privilegiando quelli in possesso di certificazioni ambientali
quali UNI EN ISO 140011 o FSC;
- scelte progettuali eco-sostenibili, che consentano alla fine della vita utile del prodotto,
il suo facile disassemblaggio e la possibilità di destinare al riciclo i vari tipi di materiali
che lo costituiscono.
CICLI PRODUTTIVI RISPETTOSI DELL’AMBIENTE
Consapevole che un prodotto è fatto anche dai cicli produttivi necessari a realizzarlo,
Estel privilegia cicli produttivi rispettosi dell’ambiente, quali la verniciatura all’acqua
che, oltre a ridurre fortemente l’impatto ambientale, contribuisce alla salubrità
dell’ambiente all’interno del quale viene collocato il prodotto.
I processi produttivi sono inoltre controllati facendo affidamento su sofisticate
apparecchiature di misura o ricorrendo ad analisi di parte terza svolte da laboratori
altamente qualificati. L’azienda, infine, è impegnata in un’attività di miglioramento dei
propri cicli produttivi, il cui risultato è la crescita sostenibile di Estel, infatti l’azienda
è riuscita ad aumentare i propri volumi produttivi diminuendo il consumo di risorse e
riducendo le emissioni inquinanti, in particolare quelle di anidride carbonica.
IMBALLI ECOSOSTENIBILI
Nella progettazione dell’imballaggio, Estel ricerca materiali con basso impatto
ambientale, principalmente il cartone e, ove tecnicamente possibile, utilizza imballaggi
fabbricati con materiali di riciclo; Estel studia inoltre il metodo di imballaggio per ridurre
al minimo la quantità di materiale utilizzato e per consentire il riempimento ottimale
dei mezzi di trasporto che, assieme ad una efficiente logistica distributiva, consente
di minimizzare il numero dei mezzi utilizzati e quindi l’inquinamento acustico ed
atmosferico generato dagli stessi.

The values, the strategy and the objectives of a company are reflected in its policy and
one of the mile stones of Estel’s policy is represented by the environmental protection,
which is implemented through the compliance with the legislation in force, the
pollution prevention, the progressive reduction of the emissions and of the resource
consumption, as well as the use of recycled and recyclable materials.
In order to grant these results, Estel boasts an Environment Management System in
compliance with the requirements of the UNI EN ISO 14001 standard, through which it
sets the objectives of its improvement.
Since this policy represents the daily operative reference point for its whole business
management, the company fully commits itself in order to achieve its environmental
goals.
ECO SUSTAINABLE DESIGN
Estel’s products meet their users’ needs by promoting, at the same time, a sustainable
development through a reduced consumption of resources and a low level of pollution.
Estel has achieved this goal by drawing inspiration in all the phases, ranging from
planning to implementation up to the elimination of its products at the end of their life,
from eco sustainability criteria, such as:
- a careful selection of materials: the wooden materials that are used are recycled, just
like metals and glass, they are all recyclable, have got an unlimited warranty and a value
that will increase over time; furthermore, its wooden material is FSC® certified and this
assures to the final client that the wood, used to manufacture its products, comes from
forests that are managed according to international standards of protection, as regards
to both environmental aspects and social-economic aspects linked to forests in order
to protect the world forestry heritage;
- the selection of suppliers, privileging those who own environmental certifications,
such as UNI EN ISO 140011 or FSC;
- eco sustainable planning choices, enabling, at the end of the useful life of a product,
to easily disassemble it and to recycle the various types of materials that make it up.
ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLy PRODUCTIVE CyCLES
Estel is aware that a product is also made up of the productive cycles that are needed to
manufacture it, therefore it privileges environmental friendly productive cycles, such
as water-based painting, which not only strongly reduces the environmental impact,
but also contributes to protect the environment in which the product is placed.
The productive processes are also controlled by means of sophisticated measurement
appliances or of third party analyses, carried out by highly qualified laboratories.
Furthermore, the company is also carrying out an activity aimed at improving its
productive cycles, whose result is Estel’s sustainable growth, indeed the company
managed to increase its productive volumes and to reduce the consumption of
resources as well as to reduce the polluting emissions, specifically carbon dioxide ones.
ECO SUSTAINABLE PACkAGES
In the design of its packages, Estel uses materials with a low environmental impact,
mainly cardboard and, where technically possible, it uses packages made of recycled
materials. Furthermore Estel tries to find the right packaging solution not only to reduce
to a minimum the quantity of the material used, but also to allow the full loading of its
means of transport so that it is possible - together with an efficient distribution logic - to
reduce the number of means used and therefore the acoustic and atmospheric pollution
generated by them.
