Michele Cadore was born in 1965 in Florence. The design has
always been his dream since he was a child. The arrival point
was the opening of his own design study in 1989. Before he got
his diploma at the Institute of Art and graduated in Architecture.
His own and main interest isn’t Architecture in itself but rather
the objects and their industrial production. “My lines are always
clear; I think this fi ts well with the requirements of the fi rm
Enrico Pellizzoni”. Thanks to this collaboration Michele Cadore
can dedicate himself to his fi rst love: the industrial design. This
true passion rewarded him with prizes like Top Ten for the chair
of the year in 1997 and Good Design in Birmingham for a sofa.
Per Michele Cadore, nato a Firenze nel 1965, il design è il
sogno coltivato fi n da bambino. Il punto di arrivo è l’apertura
del proprio Studio, nel 1989. In mezzo, il Liceo Artistico e la
Laurea in Architettura. Non l’Architettura vera e propria, ma
piuttosto gli oggetti e la produzione industriale sono il vero
argomento di interesse. “Le mie linee sono sempre pulite;
credo che questo si sposi bene con lo spirito di Enrico
Pellizzoni”. è l’occasione per dedicarsi al primo amore:
la progettazione di oggetti industriali. Una passione che
ha regalato premi come Top Ten per la sedia dell’anno
nel 1997 e Good Design a Birmingham per un divano.

Giuliano Cappelletti was born in Cantù in 1946. Enzo Pozzoli
was born in the same town four years later. Both got their diploma
at the Institute of Art and both graduated in Architecture at the
Polytechnic in Milan. They had got the same background and
they opened their professional design study Udacanturiodesign
in 1974. The expressive rigor is the “must” of this design study
that is engaged in the planning of single furniture elements as
well as whole rooms or houses, that plans re-styling in the public
sector as well as in the private one, that designs offi ces as well
as showrooms and stores. Prizes and awards come soon: the
most important ones are the “Compasso d’Oro” in 1990 and
the “Five Star Prize” in the years 1988, 1989 and 1990.
Giuliano Cappelletti nasce a Cantù nel 1946. Enzo Pozzoli
nasce nella stessa città quattro anni più tardi. Entrambi si
diplomano all’Istituto d’Arte e si laureano in architettura al
Politecnico di Milano. Sono due percorsi paralleli che si
incontrano nel 1974 quando viene fondato il loro studio
professionale Udacanturiodesign. Il rigore espressivo è la
fi rma dello studio che progetta componenti di arredo così
come abitazioni, che opera restauri sia nel settore pubblico
sia in quello privato, che disegna uffi ci, showroom, negozi.
Premi e riconoscimenti arrivano numerosi: i più importanti
sono il Compasso d’oro nel 1990, ed il premio 5 stelle negli
anni 1988, 1989 e 1990.
Cappelletti&Pozzoli
Fauciglietti Engineering studio was founded in 1986 by
Renzo Fauciglietti together with his wife Graziella Bianchi:
the aim was “the search and development of new products
of design as well as their planning and their production”.
The prizes and awards they have received (Tecnhotel in
Genoa, Compasso d’Oro, Neste Form in Finland, the silver
medal at Batimat in Paris) are the result of a constant job
of research and innovation in the product development.
Furthermore Renzo Fauciglietti is teacher at Centro di
Cultura Scientifi ca “Alessandro Volta” in Como and
university lecturer at Politecnico and Bocconi in Milan.
Lo studio Fauciglietti Engineering viene fondato nel 1986
da Renzo Fauciglietti insieme alla moglie Graziella Bianchi:
l’intento è “contribuire alla ricerca ed allo sviluppo di nuovi
prodotti di design, alla loro progettazione ed alla loro creazione”.
Il premio Tecnhotel di Genova, le segnalazioni al Compasso
d’oro ed al Neste Forma Finlandia, la medaglia d’argento al
Batimat di Parigi sono i risultati di un lavoro costante di ricerca
e di innovazione nello sviluppo del prodotto, un impegno
al quale si affi anca l’attività di docenza al Centro di Cultura
Scientifi ca “Alessandro Volta” di Como, al Politecnico
di Milano e all’Università degli Studi “Bocconi” di Milano.
Fauciglietti Engineering
Grassi&Bianchi studio, founded in 1984 from the architect
Sergio Bianchi with his wife, is engaged mainly in building
trade, from planning to restoration of private and public
buildings. The pleasure of being designer comes also from
the creation of pieces of furniture. “I often long for the
past when my studio was concerned with the planning of
furniture like chairs, tables and writing desks. Unfortunately
now we have no time to apply ourselves to this sector and
probably the right partners are missing”. Enrico Pellizzoni
represented the occasion to plan pieces of furniture of a
simple elegance just drawing essential lines on a white sheet.
Lo studio Grassi&Bianchi, fondato nel 1984 dall’architetto Sergio
Bianchi con la moglie, lavora principalmente nel settore dell’edilizia,
dove si occupa della progettazione e del restauro di edifi ci pubblici
e privati. Il piacere che si prova ad essere designer deriva anche
dalla creazione di componenti d’arredo. “Spesso provo una sorta
di nostalgia per gli anni in cui il mio studio si dedicava anche alla
realizzazione di oggetti come sedute o tavoli e scrivanie. Purtroppo ora
mancherebbe il tempo di farlo e soprattutto verrebbero a mancare i
partner giusti”. Enrico Pellizzoni rappresenta l’occasione per progettare
elementi di arredo tracciando sul foglio linee sobrie ed essenziali, per
creare oggetti di grande equilibrio formale e di semplice eleganza.
