Il rito si è compiuto”. Lo spettacolo si è chiuso con l’onirica atmosfera di
uno dei titoli più noti del repertorio romantico russo, Lo schiaccianoci,
balletto firmato nel 2011 da Frédéric Olivieri per gli allievi della Scuola,
sulla partitura di Pëtr Il’ič Čajkovskij. L’incanto della popolare favola
si è ricreato in scena grazie a una coreografia delicata ed elegante, non
priva di insidie tecniche e interpretative, che ha messo in luce le doti dei
giovani ballerini, chiamati a misurarsi nel Pas de deux dal primo Atto
e nel celeberrimo Valzer dei fiori dal secondo Atto, complici anche i
fiabeschi costumi di Roberta Guidi di Bagno.
Ospite della serata, Nanae, figlia di Masanori, è salita sul palco in sua
rappresentanza. Vestita in un bellissimo kimono e con la delicatezza che
contraddistingue il popolo del Sol Levante, ha letto le parole del padre
Masanori Umeda.

The performance ended with the dreamlike atmosphere of one of the
best-known pieces in the Russian Romantic repertoire, The Nutcracker
Suite. The ballet was choreographed for students of the Academy’s dance
school by Frédéric Olivieri in 2011 to the music of Pëtr Il’ič Čajkovskij.
The folk tale’s enchantment was recreated on stage in the delicate, elegant
choreography, not without technical and interpretative complexities that
highlighted the skill of gifted young dancers in the Pas de deux of act one
and act two’s renowned Waltz of the Flowers. Fairy-tale costumes by
Roberta Guidi di Bagno completed the atmosphere.
Masanori’s daughter Nanae was the evening’s guest of honour, and took
the stage to represent her father. Dressed in a beautiful kimono, with
the delicacy that distinguishes the people of the Rising Sun, she read the
words of Masanori Umeda.
