among the vegetation of the island.
Nella camera da letto noto sul soffitto un affresco dell’artista
Emil Michael Klein: trame di linee blu sfumate di rosa,
compongono “infiniti” che quasi non si percepiscono se
non si alza lo sguardo per cercarli. E capisco cosa intenda
Nicoletta. Anche la sedia della collezione A’mare si integra
con il paesaggio riflettendosi sullo specchio di acqua. In un
angolo della stanza, un’opera di Ettore Sottsass Claire de
Lune, un totem di ceramica in
bianco e verde acqua.
“Amiamo
moltissimo
essere
circondati da arte e design. Ci
piace accostare oggetti e opere di
grandi maestri a quelle di giovani
artisti, o alto artigianato. Ettore
Sottsass appunto, Joe Colombo,
Francesco
Binfaré,

Vignelli,
Konstantin
Grcic,
Formafantasma, Jacopo Foggini,
Luca

Proprio in questo momento, nella
rimessa, sta lavorando un giovane
artista greco, Savvas Laz, con il
mediterraneo nel cuore. Savvas
lavora sui temi dell’ecologia. Ha
ideato il concetto di Trashformer,
utilizzando materiali di scarto per
creare opere seducenti. Abbiamo
voluto che lavorasse al restyling
della grotta di rimessaggio, il
nostro accesso al mare e naturale
luogo di incontro con amici che
passano a trovarci anche solo per
un saluto. L’opera è di fatto il
primo approccio all’isola e l’intervento di Savvas dimostra
come anche materiali di riciclo possano avere una nuova vita
e offrire gioia a chi li abita … Non è solo un bellissimo lavoro,
ma è anche molto significativo”.
La villa centrale è decorata con le maioliche ottomane di
Nureyev che giocano con i colori del blu, del beige, e del
verde. On the Rocks, verde petrolio, ha la stessa tonalità della
fascia più bassa della decorazione ed entra in armonia con il
contesto esistente. “Il divano di Binfaré favorisce molto la
conversazione e la possibilità di godere del paesaggio da ogni
angolazione. Crea una sorta di isola all’interno dell’isola. Per
noi, le creazioni Edra esprimono comfort sensuale, eleganza,
bellezza, originalità”. È bello che intorno a On the Rocks
Michael Klein on the ceiling: textures of blue lines shaded
in pink make-up “infinities” that are hardly perceptible
unless you look up to find them. And I also understand
what Nicoletta means here. Even the chair from the A’mare
collection blends in with the landscape by reflecting itself in
the mirror of water. In a corner of the room is a work by Ettore
Sottsass Claire de Lune, a ceramic totem in white and blue.

this very moment, in the shed, a
young Greek artist, Savvas Laz, is
working with the Mediterranean
in his heart. Savvas works on
ecological issues. He devised
the Trashformer concept, using
discarded materials to create
seductive
works.
We
wanted
him to work on restyling the
berthing cave, which is our access
to the sea and a natural meeting
place for friends who drop by
just to say hello. In fact, this
work is the first approach to the
island, and Savvas’s intervention
demonstrates how even recycled
materials can have a new life and offer joy to those who
inhabit them... It is not only a beautiful work of art; it is also
meaningful”.
The main villa is decorated with Nureyev’s Ottoman majolica
tiles that play with the colours of blue, beige and green. On
the Rocks, petrol green, is the same shade as the lower band
of the decoration and harmonises with the ambient context.
“Binfaré’s sofa is highly conducive to conversation and
enjoying the landscape from every angle. It creates a kind
of island within the island. For us, Edra’s creations express
sensual comfort, elegance, beauty, and originality.” It is
lovely to see how around On the Rocks is a “portrait” of Li
Galli which was invented, conceptualised and produced by
SPACES
