il paesaggio ghiacciato di pack
Per Pack, Francesco Binfaré vede l’immagine di un orso
sdraiato al sole, felice. È su una banchisa, che forse si sta
staccando dal ghiacciaio e sta andando alla deriva. Ma l’orso
non lo sa… Binfaré trasforma l’immagine in una seduta. In
un oggetto affettivo, che regala calore e fa rifl ettere sulla
bellezza dell’incontro. Il rivestimento ricrea un paesaggio
artico. Il fi lo tessuto in trama si intreccia in modo naturale,
creando diverse profondità: mostra il ghiaccio, la neve e la
brina. Muove la superfi cie con giochi di luce e di rifrazione.
Il fondo monocromatico dato dal fi lo di lurex ricorda la
stratifi cazione dei ghiacciai.
I colori, bianco o nero, sono la visione diurna e notturna di
un paesaggio glaciale nel quale immergersi.
the Frozen landscape oF pack
For Pack, Francesco Binfaré came across the image of a bear
happily lying in the sun. The bear is on an ice fl oe which was
perhaps breaking away from the glacier and drifting away.
But the bear doesn’t know... Binfaré turned the image into a
seat. He turned it into a tender object that gives warmth and
makes one refl ect on the beauty of the encounter.
The upholstery recreates an Arctic landscape. The warp
thread weaves naturally, creating various depths, revealing
ice, snow and frost. It moves the surface with light play and
refraction. The monochrome background of the lurex
thread is reminiscent of the stratifi cation of glaciers.
The colours - black or white - are the day and night versions
of a glacial landscape you are immersing yourself in.
