Nella mia casa mi sono divertito ad abbinare moderno e
contemporaneo.
Ho avvicinato opere di Marino Marini e Arnaldo Pomodoro
a mobili e arredi antichi.
Ho amalgamato bene gli ingredienti, con maestria.
L’arte, con le sue incredibili tele, arriva comunque dopo la
costruzione della casa e il suo arredo.
Si è modificato in qualche modo il concetto di esibizione dell’arte
all’interno dei luoghi domestici?
La gioia di un collezionista non è un fatto privato, è
sempre stato così. Le opere diventano come figli, sono
il bello raccolto negli anni, e esibirle è un orgoglio. Io
ad esempio ho riunito la mia collezione privata, non
in vendita, gli ho dato il mio nome. La si può visitare
su appuntamento al piano nobile di Palazzo Bartolini
Salimbeni, lungo l’asse che congiunge Piazza Santa
Trinita con via Tornabuoni. Ho deciso di raccogliere le

Arnaldo Pomodoro next to ancient furniture and décor. I

Has the concept of displaying art at home changed in any
way?
A collector’s joy is not a private fact, it never has been.
Works of art become like children, they are beauty
collected over the years, and displaying them is a pride.
For instance, I gathered my private not-for-sale collection,
I gave it my name. It can be visited by appointment at the
piano nobile of Palazzo Bartolini Salimbeni, on the way
that connects Piazza Santa Trinita with Via Tornabuoni.
I decided to choose some of the works of art that have
passed through my hands, then gathered them together.
