L
a natura è una meraviglia fatta di bellezza e di piacere.
Che muta continuamente.
La natura è vita che vive. Sempre. Ovunque.
È potenza, forza, cambiamento.
Amo il mare. E la natura sommersa là sotto. Bellissima.
Una vegetazione in perenne movimento. Che si trasforma.
Non smetterei mai di guardarla. Mi affascina.
La natura rigenera. È una terapia per la vita. È capace di donare.
È una fonte di ispirazione forte. È stato così con le collezioni Minerals, Gems, Every Stone.
Ho visto le pietre, eterne e allo stesso tempo vive, colorate, brillanti. È stato un “coup de foudre”. Ho
immaginato che potessero diventare una materia morbida e corposa, per rivestire la nostra collezione.
Che ora portano la loro bellezza naturale in spazi sempre diversi.
Per questo numero abbiamo scelto luoghi dove la natura è superba, selvaggia. E altri in cui è accudita.
In Franciacorta, un parco immenso abbraccia la casa di Valentina Moretti, con alberi altissimi e prati
verdi che scendono verso il lago. Sulla spiaggia di Pinarello, in Corsica, la residenza A Spartera si
apre al paesaggio per accogliere la luce del sole, l’odore del mare, gli intensi profumi della macchia
mediterranea. La cantina Petra prende il nome dalla grande pietra cuore dell’imponente architettura di
Mario Botta. Una struttura immersa nel verde della campagna maremmana. Nella foresta di Curitiba,
una magnifica villa dall’architettura brutalista vive al centro di una vegetazione tropicale. In Toscana,
un resort di altissimo livello ha fatto rinascere Castelfalfi, antico borgo nella quiete delle colline. Un
invito al relax. A Venezia, la natura stessa ha progettato la città. Cristiana Collu, nuova direttrice della
Fondazione Querini Stampalia, racconta come arte e arredi possano aprire nuove stagioni, rendendo
omaggio all’architettura di grandi maestri come Scarpa, Botta, Pastor e De Lucchi. Proseguendo nel
progetto voluto dal Presidente della Repubblica Sergio Mattarella con “Quirinale Contemporaneo”,
nella sede dell’Ambasciata d’Italia a Londra i nostri prodotti arredano i magnifici saloni.
Abbiamo lavorato intensamente. Come sempre. Abbiamo ammirato albe e tramonti, volato e navigato,
abbiamo incontrato persone straordinarie, che ci hanno accolto e ospitato con grande affetto.
Desidero ringraziarle infinitamente.
E un grazie di cuore va a tutti i nostri collaboratori, sempre pronti ad affrontare queste avventure con
passione. Un lavoro davvero extra-ordinario.

ature is a marvel made of beauty and pleasure.
Constantly changing.
Nature is life living. Always. Everywhere.
It is power, strength and change.
I love the sea. The nature submerged beneath it. So beautiful.
Vegetation in perpetual motion.
Transforming. I could watch it forever. Fascinating me.
Nature regenerates. It is a therapy for life. Capable of giving.
It is a powerful source of inspiration. And so it was with the collections Minerals, Gems, and Every Stone.
I saw the stones, eternal and at the same time living, colourful and brilliant. It was a “coup de foudre”. I
imagined they could become a soft, substantial material, dressing our collection. Now they bring their
natural beauty into ever-different spaces.
For this issue we have chosen places where nature is wild and superb. And others, where nature is
safeguarded. In Franciacorta, a vast garden embraces the home of Valentina Moretti, with towering
trees and green meadows sloping down to the lake. On the beach at Pinarello, in Corsica, the A Spartera
residence opens to the landscape, welcoming sunlight, the scent of the sea and the intense aromas of the
Mediterranean maquis. The Petra winery takes its name from a large rock at the heart of Mario Botta’s
imposing architecture: a structure immersed in the greenery of the Maremma countryside. In the Curitiba
forest, a magnificent villa with Brutalist architecture sits at the centre of tropical vegetation. In Tuscany,
a resort of the highest level has brought the ancient village of Castelfalfi back to life, amid the quiet of the
hills. An invitation to relaxation. In Venice, where nature itself has designed the city, Cristiana Collu, the
new director of the Querini Stampalia Foundation, discusses how art and furnishing can bring new seasons,
paying homage to the architecture of great masters like Scarpa, Botta, Pastor, and De Lucchi. Continuing
to work with “Quirinale Contemporaneo”, the project desired by President of the Italian Republic Sergio
Mattarella, our products furnish the magnificent halls of the Italian Embassy in London.
We have been working intensely. As always. We have admired sunrises and sunsets, flown and sailed, and
met with extraordinary people who welcomed us and hosted us with great affection. I would like to express
my infinite thanks to them.
And a thank you from the heart goes to all our collaborators, always ready to brave these adventures with
passion. In work that is truly extra-ordinary.
