n Edra i progetti nascono dal cuore. Da un sogno, da
un viaggio, da un’emozione. E dall’amore per il bello.
E’ stato così anche per Flowers ColleCtion, con
le poltrone getsuen e rose Chair di Masanori
Umeda, e per il Flap di Francesco Binfaré, che celebrano
quest’anno rispettivamente il trentesimo e il ventesimo
anniversario.
Sono delle vere e proprie icone. Come nasce e cosa rende
‘iconico’ un oggetto? Achille Castiglioni diceva che “un buon
progetto nasce non dall’ambizione di lasciare un segno, ma dalla
volontà di instaurare uno scambio, anche piccolo, con l’ignoto
personaggio che userà l’oggetto progettato”.
Questi prodotti sono segni riconoscibili ed emblema di un certo
modo di essere, di un determinato stile di vita, di una nuova
quotidianità.
Flap è un’espressione di libertà, un inno alla vita.

They are real icons. How was an object born and what makes it
‘iconic’?
Achille Castiglioni said that “a good project arises not from
the ambition to leave a mark, but from the will to establish an
exchange, even a small one, with the unknown person who will
use the designed object”. These products are recognizable signs
and emblems of a certain way of being, of a certain lifestyle, of a
new everyday life.
Flap is an expression of freedom, a hymn to life.
