Inspired by the Corset shape, which emerged around the
16th century in England, and aimed to maintain posture and
support the breasts. By the nineteenth century, attention was
focused on the waist and began the era of tiny waists, known
as Victorian era. In the 1930s it was used for Pin-ups and
inspired Christian Dior when he created New Look. In 2010, the
corset is back in vogue and has been a symbol of sensuality
and eroticism to the present day.
