Pow3r disegna per Driade Arcad3, la celebrazione del gaming,
la sua evoluzione dalle sale giochi all’ambiente domestico.“Push
the button” recitava una famosa traccia dei Chemical Brothers.
Oggi i bottoni non sono più quelli della famosa “stanza”, ma
quelli dei gamers che dalle loro stanze stanno avvicinando
il mondo a un futuro in equilibrio tra reale e virtuale. L’oggetto
che Pow3r ha disegnato per Driade celebra proprio le prime
pulsantiere degli arcade anni ‘80 trasformando i vecchi tasti
vintage in una collezione di sedute contenitori.
“Sin da piccolo sono sempre stato appassionato di architettura
e design, dall’oggettistica ai grandi progetti. Adesso, dopo gli
studi universitari, ho avuto l’opportunità di realizzare un pezzo
tutto mio e non per un brand qualsiasi ma per Driade. Riuscire
ad inserire la cultura pop e il gaming all’interno di un grande
progetto di cui faccio parte, è il coronamento del mio sogno, di
una carriera, ma soprattutto è un ringraziamento al mondo del
gaming.” Pow3r
Pow3r designs the Arcad3 pouf, a celebration of gaming, its
evolution from arcades to the domestic environment. "Push
the button" used to say a famous track by the Chemical
Brothers. Today the buttons are no longer those of the famous
"room", but those of the gamers who from their rooms are
bringing the world closer to a future in balance between real
and virtual. The object that Pow3r has designed for Driade
celebrates the very first push-buttons of the 1980s arcades
by transforming the old vintage buttons into a collection of
container seats. "
Ever since I was a child, I have always been passionate about
architecture and design, from objects to large projects. Now,
after my university studies, I have had the opportunity to create
a piece of my own and not for just any brand but for Driade.
Being able to incorporate pop culture and gaming into a big
project that I am part of is the crowning achievement of my
dream, of a career, but above all it is a thank you to the gaming
