A green production site
All this in full respect of the environment, a topic close to the company's
heart. Over the years Dorelan has implemented processes to optimise
consumption and resources, culminating in a decisive result: from January
2019, 100% of electric power consumed is generated from renewable
resources.
Determined to ensure increasingly virtuous and sustainable consumptions,
we joined the LCA_Life Cycle Assessment program, which certifies
the constant control and improvement of our products' environmental
performance.
The people who choose us can rely on a company that is aware of its
impact, committed to the ethical use of resources.
This is not about beautiful words or good intentions, because we
concretely quantify the environmental benefits generated in each area of
the production chain.
We have distinguished ourselves by providing workers with microfiltered
water: in the period spanning January-August 2019 we supplied more
than 63.000 litres of water, the equivalent of over 42.000 plastic bottles.
We have also achieved significant results in the management of production
waste: in 2019 48% (amounting to 530.276 kg) of scraps were used to
make other products, 51% (amounting to 563.425 kg) was conferred for
recycling and just 1% was unrecoverable.
Proud of the achievement of such targets, we are determined to set new,
even more ambitious, responsible and greener ones.
