DEFINITION VON LICHT
Zum besseren Verständnis kann das Licht als elektro-
magnetische Welle definiert werden. Das menschliche Auge
kann nur die elektromagnetischen Wellen wahrnehmen,
die im sogenannten sichtbaren Bereich liegen. Darüber
hinaus gibt es weitere Wellen anderer Frequenzen, die
für unser Auge nicht als Farbe sichtbar werden. Diese
Wellen werden mit Namen angegeben, um zu erklären
wozu sie verwendet werden. Das gesamte elektromag-
netische Spektrum erstreckt sich von Radiowellen, die zu
den energieärmsten langen Wellen gehören, bis hin zu
Röntgenstrahlen und den Gammastrahlen der Atomkerne,
die zu den energiereichsten gehören. Ganz im Gegenteil
dazu ist der sichtbare Bereich nur ein kleiner Teil dieses
Spektrums. Er liegt zwischen etwa 380nm [violett] und
780nm [rot].
LICHTFARBE | TEMPERATUR
Die Farbtemperatur gibt an wie warm oder kalt vor allem
weißes Licht wirkt. Die Einheit ist Kelvin [K]. Je niedriger
der Kelvin Wert ist, desto wärmer wird das Licht. Das Licht
einer handelsüblichen Glühbirne würde hier ca. 2700 K
entsprechen. Je höher der Kelvin Wert wird, desto
kälter, also blauer wird das Licht. Tageslicht wird im Vergleich
etwa bei 7000 K angesetzt. Kelvin definiert grundsätzlich eine
Temperatur. Diese steht für die Temperatur die ein Objekt
haben müsste [z. B. glühende Kohle], damit dessen Licht
den selben Farbeindruck erweckt wie die Leuchtquelle.
