Speer, Gastronom und Inhaber des SENHOOG
Chalets im österreichischen Pinzgau gelegenen
Leogang weiss. Für ihn sind die Faktoren rund
um edel verarbeitete Materialien entscheidend:
«Künstliche Materialien sind ein No-Go.»
Bei der Einrichtung seines neuen Chalets in
den österreichischen Alpen stand Speer vor
der Wahl, wie er das naturbelassene Am-
biente seinen Gästen «in die warme Stube»
spiegelt. Künstliches hat hier definitiv keinen
Platz – exklusiv und von besonderer Hand-
werkskunst sollte das Chalet geprägt sein.
Zudem ein hochwertiges, langlebiges und
dennoch modernes Design aufweisen. Die
Frage stellte sich also: «Welche Einrichtung
bringt das Zusammenspiel aus Materialität
und traditioneller Handwerkskunst in Ein-
klang?»

ambiance? There’s no secret ingredient, as
Lutz Speer – gastronomist and owner of the
SENHOOG chalet in Leogang in Austria’s Pinz-
gau region – will tell you. For him, the factors
surrounding premium-quality materials are
crucial: “Synthetic materials are a no-go.”
When furnishing his new chalet in the Austrian
Alps, Speer was confronted with the decision
of how he would “invite” the nature-rich am-
biance into the cosy living room for his guests
to enjoy. The synthetic certainly has no place
here; special craftsmanship is needed to make
the chalet like no other. It also needs a quality,
durable and modern design. So the question
is: “What kind of furniture would be able to
harmonise the interaction of materials with
traditional craftsmanship?”
Together with his interior architect, Lutz Speer
first looked for other armchairs and chairs for
