Weiterführung der Sesselfamilie von
Christian Werner und seiner Zusammen-
arbeit mit de Sede, aus der bereits der
Relax-Sessel DS-277 hervorgegangen
ist.
Die drei Modelle lassen sich harmonisch
kombinieren und bieten einen überzeu-
genden Sitzkomfort für jedes Bedürfnis.
Beim DS-279 erfüllen unterschiedliche
Untergestelle – vom edlen Holzfuss bis
zum eleganten Viersterndrehfuss – alle
Ansprüche.
Ob in Leder oder Stoff, in spannender
Materialkombination oder mit farbigen
Kontrastnähten: Die Gestaltungsmög-
lichkeiten betonen die Individualität die-
ses Schalensessels. In seiner puristischen
Linienführung nimmt er sich formal
zurück und überzeugt gleichzeitig durch
handwerklich herausragende Details.
Inspiriert durch die verschiedenen
Varianten der DS-278 und DS-279
Stuhlfamilien erweiterte das de Sede
Design-Team das Angebot an Unterge-
stellen. Das neue Holzgestell des DS-278
wirkt durch seine Leichtigkeit einladend
für jeden Empfangs- oder Wartebereich
und zugleich wohnlich für das Zuhause.
Mit dem Viersternfuss des DS-279 hin-
gegen werden Meetingraum oder Büro
mit Leichtigkeit zu einem kunstvollen,
inspirierenden Sitzwunder. Beide Stuhl-
varianten eröffnen einen noch breiteren
Einsatz und passen sich aufgrund ihrer

It is their lightness and the special
quality of being unique and flexible
at the same time that set DS-278 and
DS-279 apart from the rest. The chairs
form a consistent continuation of
Christian Werner’s family of armchairs
and his partnership with de Sede,
which already brought forth the
DS-277 relax armchair.
The three models can be combined
harmoniously and offer appealing
seating comfort for every need. With
DS-279, the different base frames meet
all the requirements – from the elegant
wooden leg to the stylish four-star
swivel base.
In leather or fabric, in an exciting
combination of materials or with
colored contrasting seams: the variety
of possible designs underscores the
individuality of this shell chair. In its
minimalist contours, it is subdued in
form and at the same time impresses
with the outstanding craftsmanship of
its details.
Inspired by the different versions of the
DS-278 and DS-279 chair families,
the de Sede design team expanded the
range of bases. The new wooden frame
of the DS-278 is light and inviting for
any reception or waiting area and at
the same time cozy for the home. With
the four-star base of the DS-279, on
the other hand, the meeting room or
office can easily be transformed into an
artistic, inspiring seating miracle. Both
chair variants open up even wider use
and, thanks to their versatility, adapt
easily and stylishly to any living or
working dimension.
