Stell dir vor, du machst eine Seifenblase:
Holst ganz tief Luft, schliesst die Augen
und pustest sorgfältig durch die Öffnung.
Die Seifenblase wächst und wächst, wird
grösser und grösser, sie schimmert in
allen Farben, und du stellst dir vor, wie
du mitten in dieser durchsichtigen Blase
sitzt, für dich allein und doch behütet und
verbunden mit der Welt da draussen, in
deren Hektik sich diese kleinen selbst-
ständigen Bubbles als Oasen der Inspira-
tion, des Rückzugs und der Fokussierung
präsentieren: die DS-5010 Familie!
Die faltbaren Hocker und Tische aus Filz
und Leder standen am Anfang des neu-
artigen Sitzkonzepts, das sich klaglos,
aber selbstbewusst den Bedingungen
der Räume stellt: Ob eng oder laut, gross
oder unterteilt, ob Working Space oder
Atelier – die zusätzlich gestalteten Sofas
und Sessel der DS-5010 Reihe erlauben
mit ihrem speziellen Sicht- und Akkus-
tikschutz sowohl Ruhe und Konzentra-
tion wie Austausch und Kommunikation.
Die ovale Form der Skulptur umschliesst
den Sitzenden, bietet aber zugleich die
Möglichkeit zur offenen Veränderung.
Die Filzwände schirmen Störfaktoren
von aussen ab, können aber auch leicht
entfernt werden, um mehrere Sofas oder
Sessel zum gemeinsamen Gespräch zu-
sammenzurücken.

Imagine making a soap bubble; you
take a deep breath, close your eyes and
blow carefully through the opening.
The soap bubble grows and grows,
becoming bigger and bigger; it shim-
mers in all the colors, and you imagine
yourself sitting in the heart of this
transparent bubble, alone yet protected
and connected to the world out there,
in the hustle and bustle of which these
independent little bubbles present
themselves as oases of inspiration,
retreat and focus: the DS-5010 family!
Starting out with foldable stools and
tables made of felt and leather, the
novel seating concept uncomplainingly
yet boldly confronts the surrounding
space: whether tight or loud, spacious
or divided, whether working space
or studio – with their special visual
and acoustic shielding, the sofas and
armchairs additionally designed for the
DS-5010 series make space for calm
and concentration, interaction and
communication. The oval shape of the
sculpture surrounds the person seated
while at the same time offering an
opportunity for an open change. The
felt walls shield from outside interfer-
ence but can also be easily removed so
that multiple sofas or armchairs can
converge for a shared conversation.
