Alchemy is an ancient art whose main goal was
to convert humble metals to precious ones, using an
esoteric language to give materials a metaphysical
quality. The Alchemy collection was inspired by this
magic science, resulting in changeable compositions
of tables that come together in immediate formal
chemistry. Chromatic variations emphasise the
expressivity of the materials and the concave shape
of the bases refracts the luminosity of stainless steel,
contrasting with the textural geometries of the
DeLabré copper, brass and stainless steel tops.
L’alchimia è un sapere antico il cui fine primo era quello
di trasmutare i metalli vili in metalli preziosi, avvalendosi
di un linguaggio esoterico che conferiva al materiale
una dimensione metafisica. La collezione Alchemy
trae ispirazione da questa scienza magica per creare
composizioni mutevoli di tavolini che, combinandosi
insieme per immediata intesa formale, danno luogo
a variazioni cromatiche ed enfatizzano l’espressività
del materiale. La forma concava delle basi rifrange
la luminosità dell’acciaio inox a cui si contrappone la
geometria tattile dei top in rame, ottone e acciaio DeLabré.
