DESIGN BY FILIPPO PISAN
In a revisitation of the classic garden shed that emphasizes
the characteristics of its materials, underlined by
a minimalist design, an external corten steel ‘suit of
armour’ frames natural spruce facades. The result
is a multifunctional space that can be transformed into
a beachside hut, mini garage for two-wheeled modes
of transport, a nook for meditative getaways,
or a micro-workshop for DIY projects. Accessorized
with an automatic lighting system that activates once
the door opens, Cottage n. 1 also comes with an internal
ventilation system thanks to the raised wooden slatted
floor and the small perforations in the wall.
Una rivisitazione della classica casetta-ripostiglio da
giardino, che enfatizza le caratteristiche dei materiali
costruttivi, sottolineate dal disegno minimale.
Una “corazza” esterna in acciaio corten incornicia
le facciate in legno di abete naturale, creando uno spazio
multifunzionale che si trasforma in capanna balneare,
mini garage per le due ruote, nicchia pensatoio per fughe
meditative, micro officina per il fai-da-te. Accessoriata
con un dispositivo di illuminazione automatica che si
attiva all’apertura della porta, è provvista di un sistema
di aerazione interna, grazie al pavimento rialzato in doghe
in legno e ai forellini ricavati sulla parete.

Our care for the environment around us can also be seen
in the attention paid to our small friends in the animal
kingdom. A small birdhouse can set the stage, with
a structure that’s both soaring and solid, nest and refuge
- a secret port to hang among the trees or the outside
walls of a house. Waking up to nature’s morning chorus
has never been better.
L’attenzione per l’ambiente circostante passa anche
dalla cura dedicata ai piccoli amici del mondo animale.
Ne è protagonista la casetta per gli uccelli, che diventa
architettura volante e solida, nido e rifugio, porto segreto
da appendere tra gli alberi o ai muri esterni della casa.
Svegliarsi al cinguettio mattutino non è mai stato così
piacevole.

Dog House n°1 reinvents homes for our furry friends.
Created as a version of Cottage n°1, it offers
a conceptual revisitation of traditional kennels, focusing
on the intrinsic characteristics of the building materials,
which lend functionality and also pleasing aesthetics
to be shared with man’s best friend.
Dog House n°1 reinventa la casa degli amici a quattro
zampe: nata come declinazione del Cottage n°1,
propone una rivisitazione concettuale della tradizionale
cuccia, concentrandosi sulle caratteristiche intrinseche
dei materiali costruttivi, di cui emerge non solo la
funzionalità, ma anche la piacevolezza estetica da
condividere con i nostri migliori amici.
