A large screen designed as a theatre curtain represents
imaginary natural landscapes on both sides: a night
sky and the outline of a series of hills. The chromatic
variations obtained thanks to the different surface
oxidations resemble the colours of a painting on canvas,
with the resulting image becoming a stage backdrop.
Brushed copper and DeLabré brass shape the outlines
of a distant space, while the textural black of the
metal sheet juxtaposes with the airy verdigris in the
imaginative construction of a changing landscape.
Un paravento di grandi dimensioni pensato come una
quinta teatrale che rappresenta su ciascun lato paesaggi
naturali immaginari, un cielo notturno e un profilo
collinare. Le variazioni cromatiche ottenute grazie alle
diverse ossidazioni sui materiali sono paragonabili
ai colori di un pittore su una tela: il risultato è un dipinto
che diventa scenografia. Il rame spazzolato e l’ottone
DeLabré delineano le sagome di uno spazio lontano,
mentre il nero materico della lamiera si contrappone
all’aereo verderame nella costruzione fantastica
di un paesaggio cangiante.
