Longing Cabinet
DESIGN BY NIKA ZUPANK
Composed by small squared compartments, this cabinet
of wishes makes a clear and current reference to
old sideboards where biscuits and candies were usually
kept away from children and locked up. A key for
each compartment. An iconic piece of furniture.
The cabinet expresses the peculiarities of wishes
through the selection of De Castelli copper and brass
finishes: for each compartment a unique finishing
enhances the company know-how and its dedication
to this precious material.
Il cabinet dei desideri. Un mobile dalla forma iconica
e potente caratterizzata da piccoli scompartimenti,
ognuno con la propria chiave, che tengono nascosti
desideri e segreti. Il progetto è anche un riferimento
contemporaneo alla credenza, un mobile largamente
dimenticato e caratterizzato proprio da un lucchetto
e una chiave che serviva a tenere biscotti e dolci fuori
dalla portata dei bambini. La diversità di ogni desiderio
che il cabinet esprime viene resa elegantemente dalle
diverse finiture su rame e ottone che rappresentano
l’essenza di De Castelli e la sua dedizione al materiale.
