This drawer unit alludes to the archetypal
shape of a vase. Like a modern treasure
chest, Pandora was crafted to store - and
thus ‘hide’ - all kinds of objects. In its difer-
ent versions, this piece is versatile enough
to be transformed, used in varied spaces,
from the bathroom to the bedroom or the
living room. A mysterious, impressive object,
Pandora surprises when the drawers, invisi-
ble when closed, are revealed.
È un mobile contenitore a cassetti che allude
chiaramente alla forma archetipica del vaso.
Come un moderno forziere, si presta a con-
tenere e dunque a ‘nascondere’ qualunque
cosa. Nelle diverse versioni, dimostra la sua
versatilità trasformandosi di volta in volta,
giocando le proprie carte negli ambienti più
vari, dal bagno alla camera, al living. Oggetto
misterioso e stupefacente, sa sorprendere
quando svela i cassetti che scompaiono
totalmente alla vista quando chiusi.

Sculpt

Just as stone can be sculpted by an able
stonecutter, hammering and rounding tech-
niques can mould metal into supple, organic
shapes. Sculpt is a cabinet characterised
by understated aesthetics and three-di-
mensionality, which complete and enhance
each other to highlight the processes and
finishes applied to the metal. Bordered
by crisp edges, the soft yet well-sculpted
concavities of the doors mark the rhythmic
pace of light and shadow as they play upon
the surface, underscored by a surprising
finish that gives the cabinet the elegance
and sheen of silk.
Come la pietra si lascia smussare da un abile
scalpellino, così le tecniche di martellat-
ura e bombatura plasmano il metallo per
raggiungere deformazioni plastiche ed
organiche. Sculpt è una madia caratterizzata
da un linguaggio formale essenziale e una
matericità tridimensionale che si comple-
tano e valorizzano a vicenda per esaltare le
lavorazioni e le finiture del metallo di cui è
vestita. Circoscritte da profili rigorosi,
le concavità morbide ma ben scolpite delle
ante segnano il passo ritmato di un gioco
di luci ed ombre sottolineato da un’inedita
finitura che dona al mobile l’eleganza e la
lucentezza della seta.

Like the hard metal sheets that identify
the armour of a samurai, the scales on the
skin of this piece define its appearance. A
dynamic shape, taking on the evocative
strength of Art Deco furnishings, plays with
the essentialism of an ellipse and modular
repetition, balanced between minimalism
and marvel. This secretaire opens unexpect-
edly: it conceals a roomy drawer, two more,
while the sides contain curved doors.
Come le lamine in duro metallo identifica-
no le corazze dei samurai, così le scaglie
sulla pelle di questo mobile contenitore ne
connotano fortemente l’aspetto. Una forma
dinamica, che riprende la forza evocativa
di un arredo Déco, gioca tra l’essenzialità
dell’ellisse e la ripetizione del modulo,
in equilibrio tra minimalismo e meraviglia.
Il secretaire si apre in modo inatteso:
nasconde un ampio cassetto, ne cela altri
due con apertura inclinata e sui lati due
ante dalla forma ricurva.
