Au moyen-âge, le chandelier était de fer et de bois.
Avec le temps, le cristal, le verre de Murano et les pampilles ont
sublimé la lumière des bougies, illuminant châteaux, grandes
demeures, opéras et musées prestigieux.
Au début du XX siècle, le premier chandelier électrifié a été réalisé
par J&L Lobmeyr (Autriche) en collaboration avec Thomas Edison
(né à Milan, dans l’Ohio, USA!).

Conservant la forme et le galbe d’un modèle classique, ce chandelier
en chaines, hors norme, perpétue la magie de la lumière.
Sans verre, ni cristal, la lumière vient se poser pour faire scintiller des
gouttelettes de lumière sur les 6400 maillons d’inox.

Over time, crystal, Murano glass, and pendants have enhanced the
glow of candlelight, illuminating castles, grand residences, operas,
and prestigious museums.
And at the start of the 20th century, the first electric chandelier was
built by J&L Lobmeyr in Austria, working with Thomas Edison, (who
was born in Milan, but not that one, the one in Ohio, USA).

The form and the outline are the same as that of the most classic of
chandeliers and this 'chandelier in chains', exceptional in every way,
perpetuates the magic that light, at its most beautiful, can weave.
With no glass and no crystal, the light bounces off the 6400 stainless
steel links, to create a myriad of light droplets.
