A gestural project, full of irony and nostalgia.
Therefore, among a thousand stories, prohibitions, absurd technical rules,
we have reached the end. The end of the incandescent bulb.
Edison’s Nightmare is a salute to Edison’s light bulb*,
a dream that changed the way we live forever, stealing time to read and write from sleep.
It is a classic light bulb, nailed to the wall. Like a work of art.
* From 01 September 2012, incandescent bulbs cannot be sold in the EU.
Un progetto gestuale, carico di ironia e nostalgia.
E così, tra mille vicende, divieti, assurde norme tecniche, siamo arrivati alla fine.
Alla fine della lampadina a incandescenza.
Edison’s Nightmare è un saluto alla lampadina di Edison*,
ad un sogno che ha cambiato per sempre il modo di vivere,
sottraendo al sonno ore da dedicare a lettura e scrittura.
Si tratta di una classica lampadina inchiodata al muro.
Come un’opera d’arte.
* Dal 1 Settembre 2012 non è più possibile, nella Comunità Europea,
vendere lampadine ad incandescenza.
