Exploring English Heritage’s extensive
archives and properties reveals a rich source
of inspiration across diverse design epochs.
The patterns in this collection draw reference
from various properties as well as the archival
pattern development work done by Designers
Guild. These designs have been reimagined
into individual lampshades and shade linings
for a stylish and co-ordinated range.
Down House is the home of the great
scientist Charles Darwin (1809–82), who
lived here for 40 years. These designs
incorporate our take on the blue sprigged
wallpaper found in the drawing room.
This collection comprises four multi arm
�������������������������������������
antique brass that showcase the archive
design beautifully, each paired with a
complementing linen outer fabric. Alongside
�������������������������������������������������
matching colour ways, three pleated shades
in two colour ways, and two drum shades in
a matching colour way.
