Designer Stefano Spessotto provides his interpretation of the Contemporary style by bringing
ancient symbols of Eastern inspiration to dialogue with clearly Western elements, highlighting the
possible combination between concepts that are only apparently distant.
Precious woods and glossy finishes are the starting point of a design that highlights materials,
techniques, and art borrowed from the ancient Chinese tradition, with lacquering ranking first.
Creativity that links to the collective memory and knows how to get intertwined with functionality
in furnishing elements that fit in every context.
EMILY / chair
Designed by Stefano Spessotto
The collaboration between Stefano Spessotto and
Costantini Pietro reaches the Salone del Mobile
2023 with Emily. This new chair boosts its
function by exalting its structure. Comfortable
and welcoming, Emily features an upholstered
section that simulates a softly flowing garment.
Characterized by the fluid movement of its
wooden structure, Emily is designed to suit
business and residential environments.
/ The combination
of two elements /
The Emily chair stands out for its original
interpretation of the seat and backrest. In fact, they
become a single element that arches gently at the
ends, allowing it to be anchored to the frame.
The curved wooden frame features upholstery that ensures comfort and softness, offering the aesthetic
effect of a quilt resting on a supporting element. The inspiration that led to the creation of the Emily
chair was taken from the Far East, embodied by the slender, well-defined legs of the frame reminiscent
of Chinese cuisine and Shanghai chopsticks.
/ Large volumes and flexibility /
The generous dimensions featured by the Emily chair allow for including it in projects with an
international flare, both in residential and commercial environments. The Contemporary style
interpreted by Stefano Spessotto takes on a warmer and more detailed approach while keeping
flexibility and customization unaltered, as in all the Costantini Pietro furnishing solutions.
