A few years ago, the French photographer Lois Moreno looked toward
the future. She saw herself free, living in the country, something that
now seems almost exotic in these times of home-confinement. So she
disassembled her life and decided to change it.
Moreno lives in the Lyon region with her husband and their three
children. Her house is an example of light and space, designed to live
and work in. Beside photography, she has an interest in food, which
she channels through the culinary laboratories that she wants to
organize in her kitchen.
That’s why, when she got personally involved in designing the space,
she saw it as a combination of noble, natural, basic materials that were
very much in keeping with the building’s surroundings.
Stone and wood now blend in a kitchen where the work surfaces are in
Dekton’s Stonika Olimpo color. Moreno wanted to get an air of clean,
orthogonal and minimalist geometric patterns. In addition, Stonika is
easy to maintain thanks to its resistance to heat, scratches and stains.
Lois Moreno, who is also suffering the rigors of quarantine because of
the COVID-19 virus, explains that she wants to concentrate on living in
the present and not thinking about what she’ll do tomorrow. The key
to doing that is to enjoy a home that she created with the tranquility of
someone who has escaped so as the breathe better.

Hace unos años, la fotógrafa francesa Lois Moreno miró hacia el
futuro. Se vio libre, viviendo en el campo, algo que resulta casi exótico
en tiempos de confinamiento. Así que deshizo su vida y decidió
cambiarla.
Moreno vive en la región de Lyon con su marido y sus tres hijos. Su
casa es un ejemplo de luz y espacio diseñado para vivir y para trabajar.
Además de la fotografía, la francesa tiene inquietudes culinarias que
canaliza a través de laboratorios gastronómicos que quiere organizar
en su propia cocina.
Por eso, cuando se implicó de manera personal en el diseño del
espacio, lo ideó como una combinación de materias primas nobles y
naturales, muy acordes al entorno en el que se sitúa la vivienda.
La piedra y la madera se abrazan en una cocina en la que las
superficies de trabajo elegidas son del color Stonika Olimpo de
Dekton. Moreno quería conseguir un aire de geometrías limpias,
ortogonales y minimalistas al que, además, el uso de Stonika
proporciona un mantenimiento sencillo gracias a su resistencia al
calor, rayado y manchas.
Lois Moreno, que también sufre los rigores de la cuarentena por
la COVID-19, explica que quiere centrarse en vivir el presente sin
preguntarse qué hará mañana. La clave para ello es disfrutar de un
hogar que creó con la tranquilidad de quien huye para respirar mejor.
